On Thursday this week, I ventured to Marylebone to go to the wonderful hair salon that is Daniel Galvin which is located on the prestigious George Street. It is the flagship salon and has 9000 square feet devoted to exceptional hairdressing. It is London’s largest hairdressing salon, it is quite possibly the most luxurious and spacious salon I have been to. The exterior of the building is the most gorgeous period building and it looks even more magical now as there are festive decorations dressing the double fronted door and windows. Inside there is a beautifully minimalist design, with two floors, a feature and bright lighting.

I had my hair styled by the absolutely lovely and friendly Shannon. She’s honestly such a sweetheart and she did my hair absolutely perfect for an event. My hair was washed with shampoo which gives your hair volume. My hair was blow-dried straight after heat defence was applied. Shannon used straighteners to create tight curls so that they could drop over the hours after. Salt spray was used to give my hair some texture and I have to say, it is a really great tip for girls who have fine hair but lots of it!

Part of my hair was gripped back and backcombed to create some volume. A ribbon was tied to the back of my hair which is my signature Alice look.

My dress is from River Island and the necklace is from Ted Baker. For my makeup, I wanted to really focus on big dolly eyes. I used an orange MAC eyeshadow in the crease of my eye and my go-to NAKED eyeshadow palette. I used darker brown shades on the outer corners of my eyes, a more copper-toned brown in the centre of my eye and then the lightest shade in the inner corners of my eyes. I then used liquid eyeliner to create a cat-flick and then some false fluttery whispie eyelashes. I am wearing bright pink lipstick to give me face a pop of colour! I find the tone of lipstick I am wearing, really helps to balance the face and completes the look entirely!

If you are London-based or are searching for a salon to do your hair, please check out Daniel Galvin. It is well worth every penny – an unbelievable, luxury salon.
