The Country Lodge Hotel is a five-star, award-winning restaurant, spa and hotel hidden in an enchanting village, surrounded by hills and countryside in the heart of Evershot. The moment you step in through the door, you are greeted by the most charming staff who guide you to the main room. The entire environment of the Hotel is warm and inviting which is created by the impeccable choice of rich fabrics and elegant furnishings, chandeliers and traditional fine art. The restaurant is award-winning and offers an abundance of superb, traditional English dishes tempered with a twist of modern European food. Overall, whether you relax in the spa, taste a vast array of fine wines or fill your palettes with a sensational burst of flavours, you are bound to have a memorable experience.

The Afternoon Tea is perfect for a day-time celebration, set in the most elegant surroundings, you truly feel like you are the lady of the manor liaising in a chaise lounge. It can be enjoyed in their Conservatory, Whiskey Lounge, Drawing Room, or during finer weather, outdoors on the terrace. At ยฃ29 per person, I think it is highly affordable due to the delectable nature of every component of the Afternoon Tea. It is served with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly made scones and a glorious array of cakes and delicacies are served with a selection of specialty teas. The scones were utterly scrumptious and I was pleased how well they catered to vegetarian options of sandwiches.
