For all, you boho babes out there that want to add a touch of glamour to your looks, follow these simple steps to create an effortlessly chic yet classy bohemium look.
As we are all aware, the festival season has come to an end unless you are lucky enough to live in a warm country that is. Yet, fear not, boho looks are in always in season and here are some techniques for making them suitable for all occasions necessary. The simple cheesecloth white boho dress with lace details is a staple piece. The dress I am wearing is from last years Summer Season from HM and it is in size XS. I have had an endless amount of wear from it and it was highly affordable. The dress is ideal for a laid-back beach look, adding a fedora, a skinny indie necktie and some shades. It is also ideal for colder days this autumn – why not pair with high-knee socks or knee-high boots, a faux fur coat or knitted cardigan in a warm autumnal toned shade!
Here is my recent spin on the look; I wanted to create a sweet and playful Lolita style impression. It is effortlessly simple to achieve! The block heel Mary Jane shoes I thrifted from a charity shop for a colossal £5 in total – amazing right? To complete the look, it is all about minimalism and simplicity. A pastel colour handbag would look wonderful but really, we want the pop of colour to be due to the makeup look.
I am wearing one of my all-time favourite lipsticks: Estee Lauder Pure Colour 38 Twinkling Ruby. It is a lovely shade of red and instantly gives the pinup vintage vibe! It has a slight shimmer to it and it is very moisturising indeed however, if you are a fan of matte lipsticks, I would probably stay clear from this one. The only fault in the lipstick is that it is not wearable for a long duration of time unless you are one of those individuals that by nature, always are topping up your lipstick. I think for me, there is truly nothing worse when a lipstick starts to fade or comes off after eating! If you are like me and want a lipstick that is going to last, I would highly recommend a lip stain instead! …. But I guess it’s the lengths we go to, I have a tendency to buy lipsticks because I enjoy the packaging… maybe not the best move, but look at how beautiful it looks?
I hope that inspired you and made you want to bring out your summer boho dresses making them winter ready!
