On the first day of landing in San Fransisco, the sun was shining and I was beyond pleased when I reached the destination of where I would be staying. It was quite possibly the most beautiful interior architecture I have ever seen! It is situated centrally in Downtown San Francisco, blocks away from Union Square, Chinatown and the Financial District. This was so perfect for a SF-first timer like me as it eliminates the need to be totally reliant on Uber.

A little history…

The Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in San Francisco was built in 1875 and was the largest and most costly hotel in the world. This explains the simply exquisite attention to detail in the design. Yet quite astonishingly, in 1906, the San Francisco earthquake hit and although the building structurally survived the earthquake, the fire swept through most of Downtown. As a result, it meant that the hotel had to be completely rebuilt in 1909.

With the reconstruction in mind, I found it truly astonishing how the building itself still carries such a high magnitude of opulence. The timeless creation of the grandiose Garden Court is breathtaking, almost like stepping into a French castle. The stained glass domed ceilings contains more than 72,000 pieces of glass. The Palace is filled with Austrian crystal Chandeliers and marble suites. It is truly impeccable and a delightful environment to sip on a cup of tea with a cream cake!

Now that we are finally in Spring, I am able to part with my coat (on occasion) and show off some of my favourite outfits that have been hiding away all winter. The blue blouse in the photos is one of my latest favourites, it is very simple, yet has gorgeous flutter sleeves, a pussy bow neck tie, and mesh detailing. It looks lovely paired with a white tennis skirt and pair of low high heels.

Oh I forgot to mention in the above passage, the fresh flowers at the entrance are the most lovely arrangements!

As my outfit is fairly simple, I always like to add one accessory that makes the look a little bit more extra. I am wearing my new favourite Chanel sunglasses with a chain. I love them!
